As well as having lots on in the Sandon Room at the Bluecoat to explore, we have a timed programme of performances and talks in the Garden Room:

12:30    Story Telling I 

A reading from our poet in residence, Ellie Rees. 
Performance: Mr Seel’s Garden: Memories of Local food, the Mr Seel’s Garden team with Liz Postlethwaite. 

1:30      History of Food

Urban Cowboys: Uncovering Liverpool’s Cowhouses. Illustrated talk and short film by Duncan Scott

2:00      Hacking the International Food System

Chris Speed from the Edinburgh College of Art and Alex Hale from RCAHMS discuss the development of the Mr Seel’s Garden iPhone app and our other methods of ‘hacking’ local and international food systems. 

2:30      Story Telling II

“I love you allot” and “Spearmint? I’ll have some of that” Two short films from the Young Women’s Group Allotment Project.
